Discovering a Problem

The stakeholders of Sprout recognized that there was a gap in the market for a comprehensive app that could meet the payment and business needs of individuals and small businesses. Existing solutions were either too complex, too expensive, or lacked key features that users needed. Additionally, managing finances and payments was becoming increasingly important for small businesses and freelancers, who needed a simple and secure way to manage their finances

Who needs Sprout to digitise their business?

To create Sprout, we conducted extensive research and gathered insights from a variety of sources, including potential users, industry experts, and market data. They discovered that there was a growing need for a platform that could combine payment processing, business management, and security features in a single app. They also found that many users were frustrated with the complexity and cost of existing solutions, and were looking for a more user-friendly and affordable alternative.

We were also able to get leads on other competitive apps that these people were either currently using, or had previously tried before.

I also noted down the functions that could be improved on and market opportunities in which they were currently lagging.

Overall this was an interesting project that took me in a different design direction, thinking of businesses as direct chain customers. The total design project took 2months to complete and handover.
